Level 1 vs Level 2

Charging

Level 1 charging is extremely slow as it involves plugging your EV into a standard household 120-volt outlet. On average, it adds around 200 kms of charge per 20 hours plugged in.

Level 2 charging is much faster than Level 1 but requires a professionally-installed EV charger with a 240-volt outlet. Charging at this level will take around 5 - 8 hours to get a full charge with a range of 300 - 500 kms.

FAQs

Most newer houses come with a 200 amp panel and can sufficiently handle the load of a 240V EV charger. Older houses usually have a 100 amp panel and will very likely need to be upgraded to a 200 amp panel. Level 2 is a 40-amp charger that requires a 50-amp circuit.

Our certified master electricians can check your electrical panel and give you a quote for a panel upgrade if needed.

Will my electrical panel support the installation of an EV charger?

Our chargers have a standard plug and work with almost all electric vehicles. Tesla vehicles require an additional adapter which comes with your vehicle.

Will your EV charger work for my car?

Our every installation comes with an ESA certification. We make sure our installation meets all electrical safety codes as set by the ESA.
